Nowadays, tools based on neural networks are becoming more and more popular. They can help resolve different tasks and create images, music, and texts (such tools as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and ChatGPT are on everyone’s lips nowadays). So, sooner or later, such tools had to be used in eCommerce.
Last week such integration was announced by Wix.com Ltd. This company provides cloud-based web development services, allowing users to create their websites using drag-and-drop tools available online. One of such tools is Wix Editor, which received a new extension - AI text creator, implemented using functions of the transformer-based deep learning neural network architecture GPT-3, developed by OpenAI.
Last year another tool based on this architecture became very popular. ChatGPT became available to the general public, so almost everyone could talk with an AI. The tool was generally accepted positively, and some people working with it were impressed by the quality of conversations and texts it produced.
This was probably why Wix integrated generative text AI functions based on GPT-3 into Wix Editor. They expect that this tool will help the site owners simplify and streamline the content creation process. The AI Text Creator will request some information, such as the type of needed content, tone of the writing, and critical points to emphasize and provide several available examples.
Also, it was mentioned that the user could easily edit the created content. That is especially important due to rumors that Google may penalize the sites with content generated by neural networks. But even in this case, the tool will simplify content creation.
