BigCommerce team published an app called “Stand with Ukraine”. It is dedicated to helping spread awareness and gather donations to help the people of Ukraine, who suffered from an unprovoked and unjustified russian invasion. The app is easy to install, it doesn’t affect the store theme, and it only adds one script to show a customizable widget. It is linked with a modal to show an adjustable message and links to the donation pages.
For now, the app allows you to set the widget color (one of the three options - blue, black, or white), adjust the widget position on the page, customize the title of the modal and its message, and select up to three renowned organizations that are providing humanitarian help. Currently, the only approved charities are Razom (the name means Together in Ukrainian), Nova Ukraine, and UNICEF. The app doesn’t allow adding more organizations or adding any links instead of those added by developers.
Currently, the app widget is available on such pages as 404 error page, Add Wishlist, All Brands Page, All Wishlist, Blog List, Blog Post, Brand Pages, Cart, Category, Contact Form, Homepage, Product, Product Comparison, Search, Wish List.
This is one of the great examples of solidarity with Ukraine, shown by many companies worldwide. Such actions help to increase awareness and continuously provide the people suffering from the tragedy with support.
